Happy hair products
I’ve been testing out lots of new haircare products recently (stay tuned for a few more reviews coming your way soon…) and so, as I’m a firm believer that sharing is caring, I thought I would give you a little introduction to some products that have quickly become favourites of mine.
Below you can find a mini review of each product, its price and where you can find it. I hope you enjoy reading about them, let me know if you end up picking them up yourself, I would love to know your thoughts too!
SYOSS Salonplex shampoo and conditioner*
I was invited down to a pop-up salon last month to trial these products and after leaving with an impressively swishy blowdry, I couldn’t wait to use the products at home. However, I’m very strict on finishing up my shampoos/conditioners before moving onto the next one so I had to wait a little while before really testing these out. I’ve been using them non-stop for a couple of weeks now and I am seriously impressed!
They have that gorgeous salon scent that makes me want to lather my whole body in them. I truly feel like I’ve brought the salon home with me when I use these and they leave my hair feeling silky soft and smooth. Which, when you realise these are just £2 each, is really impressive. WHAT?! Yes, you heard that right, you can get yourself half a litre of this stuff for just £2. I’m sure the ingredients are probably not as high quality as those used in shampoos and conditioners at a higher price point, but so far my hair is loving it and I have no complaints.
VO5 express primer spray*
Anything that speeds up a blow dry is a god send to me. Typically, it takes me 40-50 minutes to get my hair dry which, let me tell you, is pretty boring and tiring. I’ve been using this on my hair before blow drying (I spritz it 8-10 times to ensure all of my hair is covered) and have managed to reduce my blow drying time to 30 minutes, which is amazing for me!
You can pick up a bottle for £4.39 here.
Toni & Guy oil and hair perfume*
Toni & Guy have had a little bit of a re-brand and, personally, I am LOVING it! The tropical oil smells delicious and is a fairly thick oil which is perfect for people like me, who have thick, curly hair. I use it on the ends of my hair when they’re looking a bit dry and it’s perfect for smoothing them out. I also find working 3-4 pumps into wet hair, before leaving it to dry naturally, really helps to keep my curls soft and defined.
The hair perfume is definitely a bit of an unnecessary luxury but I still find myself reaching for it every time I straighten my hair. As well as smelling lovely, it adds some shine to my just-straightened hair which is much appreciated.
The Radiating Tropical Oil can be found here for £9.99
The Illuminating Hair Perfume can be found here for £7.49
