Inside the Latest In Beauty Date Night box

Latest In Beauty date night box

Date night beauty box

It’s no secret that I love Latest In Beauty’s boxes (you can read my reviews of the Festive Party and The Greatest Showman boxes in previous blog posts) so when the Date Night box arrived on my doorstep I couldn’t wait to get stuck into it and see what I thought of everything included.

The box isn’t too expensive, at just £25, and includes basically everything you would need to get date night ready. It includes a good combination of skincare, body care and makeup products, so there’s no overlap with the types of products included! Overall, I am really impressed with this box (with a couple of exceptions) and I’ll be using the majority of products over the next month!

Skincare products

Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil – This is a very light oil that quickly sinks into your skin and has a fruity rose scent that is really lovely. I’ve been using this after toning and before applying my facial moisturiser and although I haven’t noticed any dramatic changes I am enjoying having it as a part of my daily skincare routine.

Malin+Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturiser – I’m always on the lookout for new moisturisers to use, and I’ve used this a couple of times and been pleased with how light, and hydrating, the formula is. It’s oil free and sinks into the skin beautifully.

Body care products

L’Occitane Roses Et Reines Hand & Nail cream – I have FAR too many hand creams in my stash, so this product is a little bit lost on me, but that said I do really love the rose scent and it sinks into my hands quickly without leaving them feeling tacky. I’ll probably pop this in my bag so it gets used up when I’m on the go.

Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo – I rarely use dry shampoo on my hair, and I have to admit I’m not the hugest fan of Batiste because I find their formula too gritty. That said, this does have a nice floral scent and I will keep hold of it for when my hair needs a little boost between washes.

NUXE Scented Shower Oil – I’ve had a few minis of this shower oil in the past and I love it so much I’ve used them all up! I love the formula and scent, it’s such a lovely shower treat, so I’ll probably use this up just as quickly and I might even treat myself to a full-sized version when I do.

Sanctuary Spa Ultimate Scrub Sachet – It’s a bit of a pain that this is in a sachet because I can imagine it’s going to be a bit of a pain to actually use in the shower! That said, I do love a good body scrub so I may save this for a weekend away when I want a little extra treat.

Makeup products

KIKO Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush in Hot Pink – Personally, I’m not a fan of blush sticks. I find they don’t sit well on my skin and when I go to blend them out I end up with a smudgy mess. So I’ll probably pass this onto someone else who will get more use out of it because the colour is really pretty and perfect for spring.

Burt’s Bees Nourishing Lipgloss in Evening Glow – I love Burt’s Bees products, so I was excited to see this gloss included in the box. As it’s a dark colour, it does have the potential to go streaky, but I’ll give it a go and see how I get on.

Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in Lose Your Lingerie – I’m not usually a fan of super light pastel pink nail polish colours, but after painting this on, I have to say I am completely sold! It’s a very subtle baby pink (it looks white in some lights) which I think is really chic and it lasts well.

MUA Twelfth Night Palette – This is another product I’ll probably end up giving to someone else. I’m not a bit fan of the muted shades included as I tend to go for bronzes, pinks and rust shades.

Misc. products

Blow Ltd. £15 Gift Card – I think this is a great addition for if you have an event coming up as you can use it to get a pretty decent discount! That said, I’m not sure I’ll get round to using mine as I rarely book myself in for blowdries.

Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume sample – I’m not a fan of mini perfume samples, so I wasn’t that happy to see this included in the box. I would have preferred a larger sample size, so I could test it over the week, but that said it is a lovely scent and could be useful if you’re looking for a new fragrance.
