Rose Gold 24k Highlighter Palette

As soon as I found out TAM Beauty were launching a new makeup range – Revolution Pro – I just could not wait to get my hands on some of the new products to see what I think. It wasn’t long before I caved and finally placed an online order for some of the new Revolution Pro products, and I could not resist adding the Rose Gold 24k Highlighter Palette to my basket.

I’ve tried lots of TAM Beauty products in the past (I’m a big fan of the Revolution base products!), so I expected this would be high quality, and luckily I was not disappointed! The palette is £8, so pricier than the standard Revolution range, but definitely worth it because the pans for each highlighter are pretty big so you get a lot of product for your money.

Swatches, pigmentation and application

As you can see above, the highlighters themselves are absolutely gorgeous. They don’t have names, which is a bit of a pain, but as there’s only four I think I can just describe them to you! The pinky gold colour is my favourite for dusting across my cheekbones. I use a combination of the two gold colours also on my cheekbones and on the tip of my nose and cupids bow.

These have really excellent pigmentation, and they’re so creamy they blend out like a dream! I love using my Spectrum Collections A10 brush for applying these highlighters because it gives the perfect dusting of colour and means I have to do minimal blending out once it is applied.

That said, as much as I love the Rose Gold 24k Highlighter Palette, damn does it get messy and it’s a total pain to clean! The packaging is a sturdy cardboard that snaps shut with magnets, but once you start swirling your brush in the pans, the pressed powders just go everywhere. No matter how careful I tried to be, it still went all over the palette, and when I went to clean it up with a makeup wipe it really didn’t lift easily. So, the messiness really does let this palette down, but that said I still do love it and will be using it regardless.

So, those are my thoughts on the Revolution Pro Rose Gold 24k Highlighter Palette, definitely worth treating yourself to, just be wary of how messy your palette will be when you start using it!
