Essence products – lashes and brows

When it comes to doing my makeup, the stages that I think make the most difference are applying brow products and mascara. As soon as I have a slick of volumising mascara and brow gel on, I instantly feel perkier and even if I’m going for a minimal makeup look they’re products that I would never skip using!

Over time, I’ve found a couple of holy grail brow and lash products (to date, I love using Lord & Berry’s brow gel and Bobbi Brown’s Smokey Eye Mascara) and I’m happy to say that I think I’ve found a couple more to add to my ‘must own’ list! Even better, these Essence products are both under £4 so are super affordable without compromising the quality.

Now, before I get into this review, you can pick up Essence in Wilkinsons shops across the UK and I highly recommend giving a few of their products a go because everything I’ve tried so far as been very impressive.

Essence Make Me Brow eyebrow gel

Make Me Brow eyebrow gel

I love defining my brows, but as they are already pretty thick I don’t like to use anything too dramatic on them. Which is why I tend to opt for brow gels. They’re really easy to quickly brush through and then go, so it makes doing your brows really speedy! With this one I tend to brush it through, really working it into my brows, then tidy up any gel that’s outside of the line of my brows with a cotton wool bud. It takes me less than a minute to do this, and I get perfectly defined brows with very little effort.

It’s also worth mentioning that this brow gel is just £2.50, WHAT?! So you can stock up on a few and have backups so you never run out 👌🏽

Essence Lash Princess false lash effect mascara Essence Lash Princess mascara application

Lash Princess false lash effect mascara

Brace yourselves, because I’m about to full-on RAVE about how brilliant this mascara is! It’s been around for a while now, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already heard of it (or even own it) but if you haven’t you just have to try it, because it truly is the dream! I’m very picky with my mascaras, and if it’s tricky to apply, or leaves my lashes looking clumpy or flat, it’s straight in the bin. This is my perfect mascara. It’s easy to apply – the wand is the perfect shape and length, it lengthens and adds volume to my lashes without clumping them and there’s no smudging throughout the day.

I’m honestly so impressed with this, I haven’t used another mascara since adding it to my collection, and I don’t think I will for a long time. It’s a total steal at £3.30, and I’ll be treating myself to a few more tubes to make sure I never run out!
