The 100ml edit – hand luggage beauty picks

A couple of weeks ago I paid my half-sister a visit in Germany, and now that my trips there have become more regular I’ve become a bit of an expert when it comes to packing all of my beauty must-haves for a long weekend or short stay in Europe. I try to be as low-maintenance (lol, as if) as possible when I am travelling with hand luggage only, mainly because the amount of liquids I can bring are minimal.

However, travelling hand luggage only doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice looking after your skin, or wearing makeup so today I thought I would share some of the products that I love taking away with me and (even better) they’re all under 100ml so you don’t have to worry about having them confiscated at the airport!

Skincare must-haves

Evolve Miracle Mask – I love a good face mask, and this one is currently one of my favourites! It’s an AHA fruit mask, and the enzymes are great for plumping the skin. It also includes Glycolic Acid which helps to smooth skin and after using it my skin feels refreshed and looks radiant.

£22

e.l.f. Beauty Shield SPF50 Skin Shielding Moisturiser – Having a moisturiser with an SPF included is essential when you’re travelling, especially during the summer months. This one from e.l.f. is not only super affordable, but also great at moisturising the skin and offering a sheer tint that evens out your skin tone.

£14.50

Erborian Bamboo Glow – I’m a sucker for anything that promises to give my skin a glow, so when I heard about this new moisturiser from Erborian I could not wait to try it out! It also doubles as a great primer, so I pack it for the evenings, when I want to put a bit of makeup on and highlight that tan I’ve already caught.

Mini makeup

it cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer – I’ve heard so many people rave about this concealer, so when I spied it at the Boots Beauty Festival I had to pick it up and was excited to try it. As I try not to wear too many base products when I’m on holiday, I tend to just dab a bit of concealer under my eyes and leave it at that. This is teeny, tiny so it takes up no space at all and is perfect for tavelling with.

£23.50

e.l.f. matte liquid lipstick in Blushing Rose – I’m a sucker for a liquid lipstick, especially a matte one, and this pinky nude shade is perfect for slicking on in the evening if we’re heading out for dinner or drinks. It’s such a universal shade, I also know it will work regardless of if I decide to go all-out with the eyeshadow and liner, or just stick to a swipe of mascara.

£6

Benefit They’re Real Mascara – I’ve always loved this mascara, it’s perfect for separating and defining my lashes, so of course it’s one of my travel picks! I actually got this as part of a World Duty Free exclusive travel set, and having a mini size means it’s perfect for popping in my makeup bag for a short stay in Europe.

Hair and fragrance

Moroccanoil Treatment Light – I love using oils on my hair, especially when I’m wearing it natural. So, packing this mini bottle is really helpful, especially if where I am going is humid, or I plan to wash my hair while I’m away. This sinks into my hair really nicely and leaves it looking shiny and hydrated.

£13.45

Primark Rose Oud perfume – I like to take a fragrance away with me, so I tend to stick to mini samples that I’ve collected from goody bags or perfume counters. Luckily, Primark also sell mini sizes of their perfumes, and the Rose Oud one is my favourite!
