How I style my hair…
You’ve probably noticed (in my beauty and style posts) that I tend to wear my hair either natural or straightened. In fact, most of the time I will straighten it because it means I can avoid washing it for a good few days 😂
That said, recently I’ve been wanting to switch up my hair styles so I’ve found myself reaching for the curling wands I have in my collection. My most recent addition to my curling wand collection is the Toni & Guy Curl Squad spiral wand which is surprisingly easy to use. So much so that I’ve found myself using it TWICE in the past week to create messy curls that look great down or tied in a high ponytail.
Using the Curl Squad spiral wand
Initially when I got this spiral wand I worried it was going to be a bit tricky to get the hang of. That could not have been further from the truth! I use it to curl my hair away from my face, working in sections before gently working my hands through the curls to loosen them a bit and adding oil to the end.
From start to finish it only takes me 20-30 minutes to do, so it’s something I can whip out in the morning when I’m after a slightly more exciting hair style!
Personally, I think this wand is great of medium hair lengths like mine, as you can see the barrel is fairly thin, so it creates quite tight curls which suit a mid length. If my hair was longer I probably would want to use a wider barrel. This wand also comes with a glove that you can wear while using it, which is perfect for avoiding burns.
While I don’t use a curling wand often, having this one in my collection is great because it’s so easy to use and the style of curl it creates really suits my hair cut at the moment. What’s your favourite curling wand?
