february favourites!

Oookay so here’s my top 10 picks for february!!  I tried not to pick things that i’ve already put into a monthly favourites post because then that would just get booring.  I’ll give a little mini review of each product below, hope you enjoy reading 🙂

1. The Body shop blush in marshmallow (£8)-I do not know how I lived my life without this…it gives the perfect wash of colour to my cheeks and it just so pretty!  when I first swatched it on my hand it barely showed up, and I immediately regretted buying it.  But as soon as I tried it on my cheeks, I fell in love <3

2. Lush bubblegum lip scrub (£5.25)-This has been such a life saver recently.  The weather in Exeter’s been really cold and this has really helped to keep my lips from getting all dry and flaky.  I use it probably 3-4 times a week and use a lip balm immediately after to keeps my lips moisturised too.

3. Barry M gelly hi shine nail polish in Greenberry (£3.99)-I have it on at the moment, and I can’t stop staring at my nails.  Such a beautiful turquoise colour, and so shiny!  Perfect spring/summer colour.

4. Lush Mr Punch soap (christmas limited edition, sadly!)-I am so sad i’m nearly at the end of this soap, it smells so lovely and even had real dried blueberries in it (well that’s what I think they were…).  I am so sad this was limited edition for christmas, but I do love a  lot of the Lush soaps, so i’ll definitely have to pick up another one from their permanent range.  Honey I washed the kids and Karma are firm favourites of mine.

5.La Roche Posay effaclar duo (£13)-now this was something I was interested in after seeing Tanya Burr rave about it on her youtube channel, but I couldn’t really justify spending £13 on something I didn’t know would work for my skin.  Luckily they had it on offer for 2 for £15, so me and my friend both got one!  This makes my skin feel lovely and helps keep my spots at bay!

6. The Body Shop pink grapefruit body mist (£7.50)-this smells exactly like the body butter, and is a lovely fruity scent for spring/summer.  I’ve had it for over a year now, and I still haven’t finished it!!

7. Eau Thermale Avene thermal spring water (£3.15)-basically just water in a can that you can spray on your face to revive makeup.  Yes, probably a bit overrated for what it is, but this stops my skin from feeling so dry and is really refreshing.

8. Benefit lipstick in lady’s choice (£14)-this is a little sample lipstick my half sister got for me, how adorable is it?! It’s just so cute an tiny :’).  It’s the perfect nudey pink lipstick for me.  Applies perfectly and feels really nice and creamy on my lips.

9. The Body Shop all in one BB cream (£12)-I bought this when I got the blusher mentioned above and i’m really impressed with it.  Leaves my skin feeling moisturised and gives a nice light dewy coverage to my face, perfect for days when I don’t want my makeup to be too heavy.

10. Sephora primal instincts palette ($28)-I got this when I visited my half sister in Nashville in the summer and it’s sat on my makeup shelf feeling a little unloved and forgotten, until now that is!  I can’t believe I have neglected this beautiful, wonderful palette.  The colours are super pigmented and last for a good few hours (they lasted for about 4 hours, 2 of which included me pulling some pretty dynamic shapes in the student bar…I have worn them during the day as well, and they’ve lasted well into the evening then too).  The colours are also soo pretty, with my favourites being sand-a gorgeous pale shimmery beige and tea rose-a shimmery pastel pink colour.

So there you have it folks! My favourites for this month, I hope you’ve enjoyed having a little read of it and please do let me know your favourites this month!  They’re always my favourtie posts to read and videos to watch 🙂
