So i’ve seen this on a couple of blogs recetly and I thought I would give it a go myself! It was thought up by Sophia from Tattooed tea lady
and I think it’s a brilliant idea to get to know a bit more about people and the resons behind their blogging 🙂 So, lets get straight into it!
1. why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?
I started blogging because i’ve always really loved writing and reading other people’s blogs. I loved hearing other people’s thoughts on beauty products and fashion trends and as I loved writing and beauty and fashion too, I thought I might as well have a go at it myself! I’ve been blogging for just over 2 months now, so not very long really!
2. Whose blog did you fall in love with first?
That’s a really tricky question! I think it was probably Lily Pebble’s
(What I heart today). I just find her writing style so easy to read and I always find her posts so interesting!
3. What was the first blogosphere hyped product you bought and was it worth the hype?
Think it was the Collection lasting perfection primer in light, and so yes it was definitely worth the hype! I remember just hearing people constantly referr to it, and as it was so cheap, I bought it for myself and immediately fell in love with it too!
4. What are your five favourite things about blogging and being a beauty blogger?
That’s a tricky one I think! I think firstly, it’s the really great #bbloggers chats on twitter that happen every wednesday and sunday, I always get great recommendations from them! Second is discovering other people’s blogs that I probably wouldn’t have before getting involved myself. Third is having the oppurtunity to have my own little website, that I can design exactly as I like, and where I can write. Fourth is probably learning about products that I would never have thought to have tried before and finally, it’s you guys! Every comment or follow I get puts a massive smile on my face 🙂
5. What have you learnt from being a beauty blogger?
How to write better!! I defintely feel my writing style has improved and (hopefully) keeps getting better as I continue to write posts 🙂
6. Have you changed anything since being a beauty blogger?
I think the biggest change has been in my shopping style. I used to be a bit clueless before when I went shopping for makeup, whereas now I know what all the new releases are, which store has the best offers and what products I think will work best for me!
7. what advice would you give to a beauty blogger just starting out?
Enjoy what you write and write what you enjoy. The blogs I love reading the most are the ones where the person writing it is obviously enjoying what they’re doing. and join in with #bbloggers chats on twitter! They’re a great way to meet other bloggers.
8. name your top 5 brands!
MAC, Rimmel, Models own, Revlon and Essie
9. Recommend you top 5 favourite beauty products!
Bioderma is my first recommendation-it’s brilliant at getting makeup off and leaving my skin feeling squeaky clean. Then it has to be MAC’s lipstick in russian red-it’s a beautiful red shade that lasts forever. Thirdly is Barry M’s gelly hi shine nail polish in greenberry-when I have it on I can’t stop staring at my nails. Then La Roche Posay effaclar duo-leaves my skin feeling so smooth and keeps my spots at bay! Finally, Benefit’s they’re real mascara-it makes my lashes look phenomenal.
10. Tag other beauty bloggers to do this tag!
I tag anyone whose reading this post to do it! Leave a comment below or tweet me at @DippyWrites to let me know if you do!
hope you enjoyed reading this!
