Once upon a dream….

So I’m back to doing weekly Disney princess inspired FOTDs! Sorry I didn’t do one last week, work and life just got very busy and I didn’t really have the time to do my makeup and take the photos for this post.
Yesterday, I made time in the morning before work, and did my makeup in the style of Aurora from sleeping beauty (ironic, as I had terrible insomnia the night before).  I love Aurora’s look which is very girly and subtle.  I kept every thing pink, cheeks, lips and eyeshadow!  I kept the colours quite sheer though as I don’t think her look is a very strong one, it’s more about a hint of colour to really enhance natural features.
For the eyes, I firstly primed with the Benefit stay don’t stray then applied my NYX jumbo eye pencil in yogurt all over my lid for a pinky shimmery base.  I then applied the shade spotlight-shimmery light golden bronze colour, from my Urban Decay Mariposa palette all over my lids before applying the shade infamous-vibrant purpley pink, to the outer third of my lids.  I then blended the two together to give a faded pinky shimmer to my eyes.  I then applied my Maybelline gel eyeliner to the outer third of my upper lashline to make the lashes appear more dense towards the outer side of my eyes.  I then applied Rimmel scandaleyes kohl liner in nude to the inner half of my waterline and GOSH smokey liner in black to the outer half.  Finally, I used 2 coats of Clinique high impact mascara on my lashes to make them extra voluminous and fluttery, just like a real Disney princesses <3
for my face, I stuck to my usual regime of Bourjois healthy mix for my foundation and Soap and Glory kick ass concealer under my eyes and on my blemishes.  For the blush, I went for NYX in Rose garden-a true pink with a tiny bit of glitter.  I then set that all with my trusty Rimmel stay matte powder in translucent because what sort of princess every looks oily?!
For the lips I gave them a quick scrub with my Lush mint julips lip scrub and then moisturised with the babylips in hydrate.  I then applied my Estee Lauder lip shine in plexi pink to my lips for a sheer glossy was of deep pink colour 🙂
I really love how this turned out! I was a little bit worried about using the pink on my eyelids but it actually turned out really pretty and definitely reminds me of Aurora.
If there is a Disney princess you would love to see me tackle next, let me know in the comments please!
