Way back in September Kat from Tales of a Pale Face
organised an international beauty swap and of course I got involved! I took part in the summer one
she organised and it was one of the most fun things I have done and so I was really looking forward to taking part in her Autumn one. This time I was paired up with Tamsyn from the blog peachpowxo
. After e-mailing back and forth ideas about what we would like to receive we quickly decided on a budget of around £15. My little parcel of beauty products arrived a few days ago which was really exciting and I love everything she’s picked out for me!
The first thing was a couple of sachets of senzimi skincare products. I’m really interested to try these as they are over 90% natural! I have a cleanser and a moisturiser to use, so I’ll substitute them both into my morning routine and see how I get on.
Next thing I received was one of the Bourjois cream blushes in the shade nude velvet. I already own the Bourjois cream blush in healthy glow and I love it, so I immediately knew this was gonna be a winner for me! I love the formula of these, they’re just so easy to apply and blend in. This shade is a slightly more pastel peachy colour than healthy glow and it gives a very subtle, natural wash of colour to the cheeks which is really pretty.
Third thing in the box was this Sleek lipstick in the shade Vamp. Tamsyn couldn’t have picked a more perfect lipstick for me!! Firstly, the colour is a gorgeous deep red which is just beautiful and perfect for winter! Secondly, it’s a matte finish, which is my favourite kind. This lipstick is really easy to apply and stays put basically all day (I only really had to top it up after eating) so I’m super impressed and pleased with it!
Finally, she included something I’ve had on my to buy list for absolutely ages-the MUA undress me too palette! It’s supposedly a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and, from comparison swatches I’ve seen online it does seem to be a pretty good match. I love all the colours in this palette, they’re just perfect for creating a range of neutral eye looks! In the photo above I opted for shy all across my lids then fiery in my crease.
Overall, I’m really impressed with everything she picked out for me. It’s been so much fun taking part in the swap, so if Kat organises another one for summer, I’ll definitely be getting involved!
