Last weekend I attended my first ever London Fashion Week-and it was probably one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! I spent most of my time rushing from show to show, and although a lot of it was spent waiting around for shows to start, I’m so pleased with the ones I did get to see and the people I got to network with.
One of the events I attended was a cute little cocktail party organised by the amazing Freya. She got us a spot at Aubaine Mayfair where we were treated to strawberry, pistachio and espresso coctkails and macarons.
As well as some extremely yummy food and drinks, the party was a really great chance to catch up with some of my good blogger friends and also chat to some new people who I hadn’t had the chance to meet before!
After a jam packed day of catwalk shows and presentations, it was really lovely to relax with a cocktail in hand and discuss what we had all loved about the shows we had seen that day. I didn’t actually realise that Jess was coming along to the event, so it was a lovely surprise to see her there too!
Of the three cocktail flavours available, I stuck to the strawberry ones (which were absolutely delicious) mainly because I love anything fruity and I’m really not the biggest fan of coffee or nuts. The strawberry macarons were also gorgeous, the filling was just so fruity and creamy, it was like heaven.
I’ve always been a big fan of blogger-hosted events, it’s really impressive when bloggers have the time to organise events as well as everything else, and this one was just a brilliant as others I’ve attended in the past.
I think Freya did an amazing job of hosting, and I really appreciated the quick break from the madness of fashion week.
