Festive Fun at John Lewis Kingston

John Lewis is a department store I’ve always enjoyed shopping in, so when I was invited down to my local one in Kingston for a small bloggers gathering I couldn’t wait to go along. We spent the evening having dinner at the amazing Rossopomodoro and doing a spot of festive arts and crafts.

When I arrived at the restaurant I was plesantly surprised by just how beautiful it was. Tucked away on the first floor, I hadn’t really taken much notice of it on my previous visits to John Lewis, but the decor is gorgeous and the food was really great too.
We each had a couple of glasses of prosecco while we chatted all things blogging and I opted for a four cheese pizza for dinner which was one of the best I’ve ever had.
Being my usual dippy self, I totally forgot that I had my friend’s birthday drinks on the same night, so I ended up having to wolf down my pizza before we did the crafts workshop!

We had a table set up in the textiles section of the store and were given a selection of craft activities to choose from. After much deliberating I opted for the make-your-own penguin kit and I ended up taking home a really cute toy that I stuffed and sewed up myself.

I’ve decided to call him Jasper and I think he looks really cute sitting on my fireplace! I have a baby nephew and I think this penguin might make up part of the Christmas present I give to him (because who doesn’t love penguins?!)
I had a really lovely time at the event and it was great to meet some local bloggers and chat about why we love blogging. Fingers crossed I’ll get to go to more local events!
