If you’re following me over on Instagram, you may have already seen and heard of Huel but if you haven’t let me introduce you to them!
Huel is a powdered food that contains all of the proteins, carbs, and fats you need, plus at least 100% of the European Union’s “Daily Recommended Amounts” of all 26 essential vitamins and minerals.
Basically, that means that by adding it to your diet, you can get all of the nutrients you need in a really efficient way.
If, like me, you work full-time and have a pretty hectic schedule, using it can make life a lot easier as it means you can have a shake for breakfast or lunch and it’s a lot easier and quicker than preparing something yourself.
So, how have I been using Huel recently? Well, I like to have it as my breakfast when I’m really time limited and don’t really have time to prepare something else.
I am also considering taking it into work for lunch on particularly hectic days, it would make my life a lot easier (and probably healthier) if I could just use Huel for lunch rather than dashing out to pick something up from the shops (where I always end up getting Wasabi or a burrito…)
I’m really focused on cleaning up my diet this year, making healthier choices and trying to reduce the amount of fast food I am eating. Therefore, Huel fits really well into my plans as I know it’s a healthy option for when I’m limited with my time and am tempted to just grab something quick and easy (and most likely not that good for me).
The flavour of Huel I have is Vanilla*, and it has quite an oaty taste to it, so I like to mix in their Rhubarb and Custard powder* to sweeten the shake a bit.
The shakes are so easy to make (three scoops of Huel, 1.5 teaspoons of the flavour powder and 400ml of water) and as they taste quite nice they’re really easy to drink too!
If you’re looking for something easy you can have for breakfast when you’re very time limited, make sure you check Huel out!
