I’ve had various beauty box subscriptions over the years, and while I’ve always enjoyed the excitement of receiving a little bundle of surprise products on a monthly basis, I didn’t enjoy the slowly growing pile of products I wasn’t so keen on.
Luckily, Latest in Beauty have a beauty box subscription that I can really get behind, because you get to pick exactly what goes in your box, which ensures you’re not left with any products you don’t like. I was sent the Beauty Guru subscription box*which allowed me to pick nine products to test out. As a one off cost the Beauty Guru box is £25, not bad for nine products! I spent SO long choosing, but finally settled on the nine that I wanted and you can find a mini review of each below…
I’m flipping obsessed with Aromatherapy Associates bath & shower oils, they make me feel so relaxed when I use them and they really do make the best baths. The only problem is that they are really expensive, so whenever I can get myself a sample, I will. I’m going to save this one for when I feel like I need a special treat.
I love having my nails painted 💅🏼 so, of course, had to pop a nail polish in my box. This is a teeny tiny OPI sample, and to be honest I’m hoping the fact that it’s so small means I will actually use this up before it goes gloopy. As you can see, it’s a beautiful shimmery copper that I think is going to look gorgeous on my nails. I can’t wait to use it.
If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you will know about my obsession with sheet masks. I wanted to include some skincare in my box, so when I spotted a sheet mask, I knew I had to add it to my order to test it out. I’m going to use this when my skin is feeling a little bit dehydrated and dull.
Normally, perfume samples are absolutely tiny and so I always hate them being included in beauty box subsciptions. However, when I spotted this one was 15ml I had to include it in my box so I could really test it out! It smells delicious (it’s a deep floral scent) so I can’t wait to wear it.
The first thing I smelt when I opened the box was this candle and honestly it’s one of the most delicious thing I’ve ever smelt. It’s a spicy fruit scent that’s definitely Christmassy, so I’m going to save it for December. It’s a mini, so I think it will burn for around 4-8 hours, which is perfect for seeing what I think of the fragrance and if I would like to buy a full sized version.
This is such a pretty lip colour, I’m sure it’s going to become part of my everyday makeup routine. I have a deep red version of this, and I love the formula, it’s really easy to apply and feels really comfortable and moisturising on.
If there’s one thing I’m not good at, it’s exfoliation. It’s the perfect way to gently buff away dead skin cells and keep skin looking radiant, but it’s the one step I always forget! This facial polish is gentle, yet effective, and I’m going to try to get into the routine of using this 1-2 times a week.
I’ve loved Moroccan Oil products for quite a while now, so when I spotted this conditioner on the Latest in Beauty website I had to pick it up to try out. I love anything moisturising for my hair, and I’m hoping this will help to keep my curls soft and defined. Also, 250ml is really generous, and makes the cost of the beauty guru box 100% worth it.
I seem to have a habit of picking up shower gels, and as I hadn’t tried this one before, I decided to add it to my box. It has a lovely, fresh scent that will hopefully help to wake me up in the morning. This is supposed to have long-lasting fragrance, so I’m interested to see how it actually lasts.
