As you may have realised, I’m a little bit of a perfume addict, and I love discovering new scents, especially when so many perfumes come in gorgeous bottles that you just can’t help but put on display! Last week I was lucky enough to attend the Amo Ferragamo fragrance launch at Tonight Josephine (which is a pink, girly cocktail bar of dreams right by Waterloo station) and after having lots of fun at the event posing in the photobooth and making cocktails I was gifted a bottle of the new perfume to test out for myself.
When I initially sampled it at the event I wasn’t sure it would be for me. I’m normally a fan of fresh or woody scents and Amo Ferragamo has a very sweet initial scent. Sweet scents aren’t really my thing, but after wearing it for the past week I do have to admit I’ve fallen just a little bit in love with this Oriental Floral fragrance!
As I mentioned above, this is an Oriental Floral scent, which has top notes that are really sweet and include Italian Bitter Accord, Blackcurrant and Rosemary. The heart notes are light, floral and feminine (with notes of jasmine Sambac, Mate Absolute and Rhubarb), which means that when this settles it really is a perfect spring perfume. The base notes are sensual and warm, with notes of White Vanilla Tahitensis Absolute, Ambrox and Sandalwood.
I think the fragrance notes combine perfectly, and instead of being your typical girly fragrance, it’s complex and has feminine, sweet and sensual moments to it that reveal themselves throughout the day.
Ok so we have to talk about the bottle because it is just so BLOOMIN beautiful! it has subtle embossing from the neck to the cap, and I really love the prismed texture, I just think it’s so pretty and feminine! The bottle is finished in a metallic rose and silver polish, which I think adds a modern twist.
I’ll definitely be displaying this on my desk for the foreseeable future because it’s gorgeous.
