Why I’ll always love a bold print

Tips for styling a bold print

I’ve always been a risk-taker when it comes to my own personal style, I remember one particularly ill-chosen outfit that was practically falling apart when I wore it out shopping (NOT a good look, but at the time I thought it would work 😂). So, when it comes to rocking a bold print, I’m definitely not shy. In fact, when the weather goes from miserable to bearable the first thing I find myself reaching for in my wardrobe is a print that can inject some colour and fun into my outfits.

I’ve had this skirt in my wardrobe for about six months now, and since buying it in the H&M sale I’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to whip it out. Luckily, we had a few rays of sunshine last week, giving me the opportunity to wear this poppy-printed midi skirt.

Now, when it comes to styling a bold print, I think it’s important to keep everything else simple. The only time I would consider braving a print clash is at London Fashion Week, or if I was attending a fashion/beauty event. So, as I was dressing for the office on this day, I stuck to my simple rule and paired it with an off-the-shoulder black body and espadrilles.

Of course, when I’m keeping the rest of my outfit simple, I tend to go for simple (but elegant) pieces of jewellery to compliment the outfit. I recently attended a dinner with KASHKA and after being given a preview of their jewellery pieces I fell in love with the Love Hoops Earrings, which I am wearing in this post!

They’re silver, with rose gold detailing, and are so subtle I’ve found myself reaching for them most mornings as they go with everything in my wardrobe.
