Hempz haircare

If you’ve read my previous beauty posts, you’ll know that I love trying out new haircare products (I’ve recently reviewed Infuse My. Colour and Lydia’s hair supplement). So when I was given the opportunity to test out new Hempz haircare products, I couldn’t wait to see what I thought! I was sent the new herbal collection which contains three products – shampoo, conditioner and a dry shampoo.

Spoiler alert: I’m actually a big fan of these (which, to be honest, I was not expecting)! Although the packaging is really plain, the products inside are great and I’ve actually switched out my current shampoo and conditioner for these because I’m enjoying using them so much!

I wasn’t expecting to love these as much as I do, purely because I’ve been a big fan of L’Oreal’s extraordinary oils collection and so far I’ve not found anything that matches up. But…I really think these two do and when I use them my hair is left feeling really soft and smooth.

The shampoo lathers nicely and has a delicious fruity scent that reminds me of those Victoria’s Secret tropical body sprays I used to buy in bulk! The conditioner doesn’t have a noticeable scent, which is a little bit disappointing, but it’s such a lovely formula it doesn’t matter to me too much. I tend to apply this, then brush it through and leave it on for 5-10 minutes to give my hair a deep condition that really helps to keep it feeling smooth.

I don’t regularly use dry shampoo, but when I do I like a formula that doesn’t leave an obvious white residue and smells nice. My currents favourites are the CoLab ones, and I have yet to find one that matches up. Unfortunately, I don’t think this one is any special, but regardless I will use it all up. It doesn’t leave obvious white streaks, which is great and does help to refresh my hair when I want to put off washing it.
