I can’t believe these are the first Huda Beauty products I’ve ever tried out, I feel like the WORST beauty blogger! I’ve always lusted after the products created by Huda Beauty, so when my half-sister asked if I wanted anything from Sephora, I just had to put in a cheeky request for this set of matte liquid lipsticks.
The matte liquid mini sets come in four colour ways – Blushed Nudes, Power Pinks and Au Naturel Nudes. After going back and forth on what set to opt for, I settled on the Blushed Nudes as it seemed to include the shades I thought I would get the most use out of.
The packaging of this set is really pretty, on the back there’s images of what each colour should look like on the lips and each liquid lipstick comes in a mini frosted tube. The formula of each of these drys quickly and is really thin, but pigmented. I’ve worn a couple of them for 12+ hours and they really don’t budge, which is amazing! I love this set so much I am very tempted to pick up another one, I think I might go for the Power Pinks next.
Anyways, back to the Blushed Nudes, the four shades are as follows – Bombshell, Muse, Venus, Wifey – and I’ve given my thoughts (and swatches) of each below.
I have to say, I think this is my least favourite of the set. That’s not to say I don’t like it, I do think it’s pretty, but it’s just a tad too orange toned for me. That said, it is a very subtle colour so I can see myself wearing it when I want a more subtle makeup look.
I think this is probably my favourite of the set, purely because I’m a sucker for a lilac-toned pink! I actually wore this when I had a full day in London a couple of weeks ago, and after a couple of meals (and lots of drinks!) it really didn’t budge, so I didn’t even need to top it up after eating and drinking which really impressed me.
This is my perfect nude, it has a ‘my lips, but better’ feel to it and I think the colour really suits me! Again, like Bombshell, I think this is one I’ll be reaching for when I want to do a more subtle makeup look with a nude lip.
This is the lightest shade of the bunch, and although I wasn’t sure it would suit me, I am happy to find that it really does! After trying all four, Wifey and Muse are definitely my favourites and I’m sure I’ll get lots of use out of both of them.
