If you’re a regular watcher of my Insta stories, you probably already know that I’m a pretty big fan of everything Revolution Beauty release. The more fun branch of the company is I Heart Revolution and within their collections you can find heart and diamond shaped highlighters, dragon themed lip products and chocolate scented eyeshadow palettes. The latter is what I’m going to be talking about today, as I was gifted a few of their latest launches at an event a couple of weeks ago.
I can confirm, the chocolate eyeshadow palettes really do have a cocoa scent to them which is just gorgeous. The eyeshadows are also super pigmented and last really well once you’ve applied them, so I think it’s safe to say I’m impressed by them. They’re just £8.99 each, so a total steal too!
I have to admit, I do think the bright yellow shades are a bit lost on me (I just don’t think I suit yellow), but I am really excited about the caramel, orange and chocolate shades included in this palette. I find using golds and bronzes in my eyeshadow looks really brings out the blue in my eyes, so I’ll be using this palette when I want my eyes to really pop.
This palette is definitely my favourite out of all of the chocolate eyeshadow palettes! I’m a sucker for purples and pinks and the darker shades also included in this palette means I can easily use it for colourful smokey eyes too. I’ve used a combination of Wine, Forsaken and Amethyst previously for a bright purple eye look and I was really impressed with how easily they blended and the finished look!
As you can see above, this palette has a few beautiful icy blue shades in it that I think are just gorgeous and will blend beautifully with the rest of the more neutral shades. I love using blue shades just along my lash line, I think it’s a really pretty look for summer so that’s what I’ll be using this palette for.
Unlike most nude palettes, this has quite a few rust/orange shades in it, but I’m not complaining because I love creating makeup looks with these shades! This is going to be the palette I reach for year-round, when I want to put together a simple, neutral eyeshadow look that will go with any lipstick shade.
