Spring? Are you there?

I feel like we got a peek of Spring in February, but since then it’s disappeared again 😭 Regardless, I am pushing on with the Spring style content because, honestly, I am DONE with multiple layers, cosy coats and winter boots. Today I’m bringing you one of the latest additions to my wardrobe – a gorgeous gingham dress from Mango that I’m just obsessed with right now. It’s super flattering on, the pattern is beaut and I just love the tie shoulder straps because they add to the cute Spring vibes of the outfit.

As you can see, this is a midi length – my favourite length for dresses and skirts – which is feel is super flattering for those of us who are a bit curvier (honestly, I avoid mini dresses and skirts like the PLAGUE because I always worry I’ll flash people while wearing them 😂). I love that the skirt section flares out a bit too. I feel like this looks amazing with the patent boots I’m wearing here, but would look equally great with kitten heels.

Let’s talk about the accessories

Ok, these boots. Ma’am. I have to talk about them. Not gonna lie, they are a total PAIN to squeeze my feet into because there’s no zips on the backs or sides, but they are 1000% worth the struggle because damn they look good on! I love the patent material, and how they fit my feet perfectly – I just feel like they look so badass. They look great with this summery gingham dress, but equally look great with mom jeans and a cute blouse. I’ll be saving them to wear for special occasions (aka, when I can be bothered to wiggle my feet into them).

Now, onto the hat. I’m not normally a hat wearer, I just feel like a tw*t when I prance around London with one on and they tend to have the habit of flying off of my head mid-stride (cue me awkwardly chasing it down the road while my friends have a good laugh)! That said, I have fallen in love with this one, so on the weekends, when I have brunch plans or I’m heading to an exciting event, I shall be donning this and dealing with the potential embarrassment of it launching itself from my scalp.
