If you read my previous post about the Pixi Glow Tonic collection you will know how big a fan I am of Pixi skincare collections. So when I was sent the Pixi Vitamin C skin treats collection, I could not wait to get stuck in and see which products were real winners for me.
There are five products in the Pixi Vitamin C collection – a juice cleanser, tonic, serum, lotion and caviar balm. Pixi claim that this collection will help to brighten your skin, and after using a few of the products regularly (and receiving a fair few compliments on how good my complexion is looking) I have to say I do feel incorporating some of these products into your routine will leave you with a bright, healthy glow.
Vitamin C juice cleanser – This cleansing water doesn’t need to be washed off, so you can apply it to your face with a cotton pad for a quick and easy cleanse. Personally, I prefer a more robust cream or balm cleanser (I live in central London, so I like to give my skin a good cleanse to reduce the effects of pollution) so this hasn’t made it into my daily skincare routine. But, if you like a fuss-free and quick skincare routine this might work for you!
Vitamin C tonic – I’m a huge fan of Pixi’s tonics (I’ve used Glow Tonic for years now) so I could not wait to try this one out and I have to say it’s a great addition to my skincare routine. I use this a few times a week after cleansing and it really helps to brighten my skin.
Vitamin C serum – I think this is my favourite product out of the whole collection, it’s such a nice formula that just smells divine! I use 2-3 drops all over my face and neck every evening and it sinks in really quickly and leaves my skin looking bright and smooth. Vitamin C and ferulic acid are also proven to reduce the effects of sun damage & free radicals – result!
Vitamin C lotion – This is the moisturiser from the collection, and it’s a really lovely formula. It’s a slightly thicker formula, so I tend to use this in the evening or on days when I don’t plan to wear any makeup. Vitamin C has potent antioxidant power, promotes healthy collagen production and is known to boost skin luminosity.
Vitamin C caviar balm – This is actually a leave-on brightening mask, and I use this 2-3 times a week to give my skin a real treat. It also has encapsulated vitamins which melt into your skin as you massage it in.
