Autumn is my absolute favourite season for fashion (there’s just so much more versatility with layering) so when I spotted the H&M x Richard Allan collaboration in September I just could not wait to treat myself to some pieces and start wearing them. The first thing I was attracted to from the collection was the roll neck tops in various prints. In the end I settled on this chain print roll neck, and I’m so glad I picked it up because it’s such a pretty print and it looks great with this cream skirt (which is also from H&M).
Wearing:
In September I wrote about wearing a more neutral colour palette – mainly because I feel like I get the most wear out of these pieces – but neutral colours doesn’t necessarily mean boring, plain outfits. In fact, since wearing a more neutral colour palette I’ve found it easier than ever to incorporate patterns into my wardrobe. For example, this H&M and Richard Allan top can be worn to work with a pair of smart cream trousers and can be styled for the weekend with a cream mini skirt and some boots. I’ve found sticking to a more neutral palette makes adding prints a lot easier, and they tend to look chic (rather than busy).
I’ll definitely be adding more prints to my neutral wardrobe during autumn and winter, so keep and eye out for them over on my Instagram (I post outfits pretty much daily over there)!
