winter skincare update

Introducing new skincare…

Wow, it’s been a while since I sat down and wrote a proper blog post. I think it’s safe to say that the run up to Christmas has been really manic, and now I’m really looking forward to a proper break once I finish at work this week. I’m planning to spend a full two weeks eating everything in sight and watching LOTS of festive movies.

In the past couple of weeks I’ve managed to accumulate quite a few new skincare launches, so today I thought I would share with you the additions to my skincare stash that I’ve been testing out and some initial thoughts on each of them.

niche and cult korean skincare

Niche & Cult sheet masks and cleanser

I love a good sheet mask, especially at this time of year when the weather is really harsh. So I’m happy to have these three from Yadah in my stash. These are just £2.50 each and perfect for popping on when you’re chilling at home.

Also from Niche & Cult we have the Huangjisoo anti-pollution foaming cleanser. This is just great for those of us who commute within big cities – I’ve personally noticed that my skin has broken out in angry red spots since taking the tube daily. The foam is gentle and great for getting a good clean after a long day! It’s £17.99 so a bit more pricey, but not too expensive!

Bioderma sensibio micellar water

Bioderma Sensibio

I’ve been a fan of Bioderma since seeing beauty bloggers rave about the brand years ago. In fact, I used to make special trips to French pharmacies just to get my hands on it during my summer holidays! The Sensibio micellar water is just perfect for removing makeup in a gentle, but effective way, and I love that there’s a whole collection of products that you can use alongside it. It’s also just £10.80 for 250ml.

The Sensibio light cream is perfect for daily wear, and the light formula makes it perfect for using in the mornings before applying makeup. It’s £15 for 40ml.

Lumity nutrient rich cleanser

Lumity 4-in-1 Cleanse

I love a rich cleanser during the winter, and this one is perfect for keeping your skin glowing. The balm is perfect for cleansing skin and gently exfoliating at the same time. You can also leave it on as a mask, so it’s really versatile! The 4-in-1 Cleanse is pricey at £55, but definitely worth it as you get lots of product and it is a versatile product.

Alpha H rose gold toner

Alpha H Liquid Gold Rose

I actually got this as a gift set which also includes the classic Alpha H Liquid Gold, which I love, and I’m so excited to try the Rose version! Rose adds a boost of hydration to the original formula, while still resurfacing and smoothing the skin. The holiday duo is £38.50.

Image skincare Ormedic

Image skincare Vital C and Ormedic collections

I’ve been a fan of Image skincare for a while now, and the love affair continues with these new additions! The Vital C hydrating repair creme is my daily evening moisturiser and it’s just so lovely. It smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and plump. It’s £82 so a total indulgence for me.

I’ve nearly completely used up the Ormedic balancing anti-oxidant serum. I love the gel-water texture of it and using it daily really helps to keep my skin looking flawless. It’s £58, so pricey, but worth it.

The Ormedic balancing gel polisher is great for using a couple of times a week to gently buff away dead skin cells and keep my skin glowing. The polisher is £38.

Dermalogica winter skincare set

Dermalogica winter skincare saviours

Dermalogica kindly sent me a set of products to keep my skin glowing during the winter, and since receiving them I’ve been loving testing them out! The Redness Relief Essence is much needed right now as my skin is having a bit of a flare up (due to commuting, I think). You just swipe it over your skin after cleansing, so it’s super easy to use. The essence is £38

The Barrier Defence Booster is a concentrated oil that restores balance for the skin. This is great for those of us whose skin can easily get dry or red, and you can apply it just before moisturiser or mix it in and apply everything at the same time. It’s £67

Finally, we have the Nightly Lip Treatment which I am obsessed with right now because it’s a gorgeous formula and the metal applicator really soothes lips as you gently massage it in. The balm is fairly thick, and using it nightly has really helped to combat dry lips during the winter. It’s £47.50
