Satin finish suit

For the past year I’ve been itching to find myself the perfect suit. They’re such a versatile thing to have in your wardrobe. After seeing a few women wear them to the Blogosphere Awards last year I was determined to find one that I absolutely love. When it comes to suits, I wanted to make sure I could find one that was feminine. It also needed to be easy to mix and match with various items in my wardrobe. When I spotted this satin finish suit, I just had to add it to my wardrobe.

Bold and punchy colours were out. As I’ve talked about in an earlier post, I’ve recently been opting for a more neutral style palette. I get more wear out of each piece in my wardrobe, and find neutrals a lot easier to mix and match.

InTheStyle collaborations

If you follow me on Instagram (if not, why not?!), you’ll know how much love I have for the collections Lorna Luxe collaborates on with InTheStyle. Since first buying from Lorna’s collection, I’ve found myself falling in love with various other collaborations InTheStyle do and one that caught my eye last month was Laura Jade Stone’s. Laura has a beach babe aesthetic and makes things look effortlessly cool. When I saw this suit in both blue and cream colour ways I just knew I had to get one for myself.

As tempted as I was by the blue, I knew I would get far more wear out of the cream colour way. When I first tried it on I instantly felt amazing. I love the fit of the jacket. The material feels like it’s really high quality. The trousers also fit perfectly and the gold buttons are really pretty. The suit looks great on its own, and will be perfect for any formal events this year. The jacket also works great thrown over any more casual outfits, and the trousers can also be paired with jumpers and trainers for a more casual look.

In total, I spent £65 on this suit (and InTheStyle often have discount codes available). I think it’s worth every penny because I’m sure I could have ended up paying double for something similar from ASOS or Topshop.
