Satin power suit

For the past year I’ve been itching to find myself the perfect suit. They’re such a versatile thing to have in your wardrobe, and after seeing a few women wear them to the Blogosphere Awards last year I was determined to find one that I absolutely love. When it comes to suits, I wanted to make sure I could find one that was feminine, and easy to mix and match with various items in my wardrobe.

That meant bold and punchy colours were out. As I’ve talked about in an earlier post, I’ve recently been opting for a more neutral style palette as I find I then get more wear out of each piece in my wardrobe, and I find them a lot easier to mix and match. Enter this gorgeous satin power suit from InTheStyle…

InTheStyle collaborations

If you follow me on Instagram (if not, why not?!), you’ll know how much love I have for the collections Lorna Luxe collaborates on with InTheStyle. Since first buying from Lorna’s collection, I’ve found myself falling in love with various other collaborations InTheStyle do and one that caught my eye last month was Laura Jade Stone’s. I love her beach babe aesthetic and hoe effortlessly cool she makes things look, and when I saw this suit in both blue and cream colour ways I just knew I had to get one for myself.

As tempted as I was by the blue, I knew I would get far more wear out of the cream colour way so I treated myself to that one and patiently waited for it to arrive. When I first tried it on I instantly felt amazing. I love the fit of the jacket and the material feels like it’s really high quality. The trousers also fit perfectly and the gold buttons are really pretty. The suit looks great on its own, and will be perfect for any formal events this year. The jacket also works great thrown over any more casual outfits, and the trousers can also be paired with jumpers and trainers for a more casual look.

In total, the satin power suit cost me £65 (and InTheStyle often have discount codes available) and I think it’s worth every penny because I’m sure I could have ended up paying double for something similar from ASOS or Topshop.
