When it comes to foundation, I think in most cases you get what you pay for. It’s a product that is essential to most of our makeup routines. If you’re going to wear it on a regular basis you want to make sure what you’re applying is good for your skin and looks great. I’ve always heard good things about the Dior Forever foundation. So it’s no surprise that I now have two variations in my collection – one for summer and one for winter.

I’ve used various methods to apply my foundation in the past. I used to be a fan of using stippling brushes. Recently I’ve been enjoying using a multi-purpose domed buffing brush. I find using this makes my coverage more even.
Both the matte and Skin Glow version of the Dior foundation are easy to apply and blend in. I tend to go for two pumps for a mid coverage base. The matte finish gives a lovely, soft finish. Skin Glow makes me look very radiant, which I love.
I always use a primer and setting spray when doing my makeup. I find that when I use both alongside the Dior Forever foundation it just does not budge. Even at the end of the day I will still have an even coverage.
This is where I think the higher price point of this foundation is really worth it. I don’t have to use much product for a medium coverage and when I do wear it, my skin looks flawless all day.
I will say that I do prefer the finish of Skin Glow. The matte version can sometimes be a bit too powdery for me. Skin Glow just makes me look healthy and radiant. The price is quite high, £37, but I think it’s worth it for the gorgeous finish.
Have you tried any Dior makeup before? If you have, what did you think of it?
