Co-ords aren’t a new concept on the fashion scene. They’ve been around for decades, and never really fall out of style. That said, I tend to associate them with spring and summer months. Cute crop top and short or skirt combinations that are perfect for brunch dates or trips to the beach. This is the first year I’ve treated myself to a co-ord for autumn, and I’m shocked it is. The great thing about co-ords is how versatile they are. They will often cost the same amount as a dress, but you’ll get much more wear out of them as you layer, mix and match the pieces.

When it comes to styling, I am all about layering and wearing the same pieces in multiple different ways. Co-ords work especially well for this – you can wear it all as one outfit with multiple layers or split it up for completely different looks!
When I wear my Topshop co-ord as a whole set, I like to style it with a cross body bag, some ankle boots and a cropped jacket or long trench. Split up, the skirt works great with a bodysuit or jumper and white chunky trainers. The top is such a great fit, I love pairing it with a plain mini skirt or straight leg jeans.
The co-ord gives me so much more versatility in my wardrobe than a dress would. There’s endless ways to style it, and the pattern is so subtle it can really work for all seasons.
So my advice to you would be – buy one now for your autumn wardrobe and get creative with how you style it!
