PIXI Eye Effects eyeshadow palette review

PIXI Eye Effects

I’ve been a fan of PIXI skincare and makeup products for a while now. So when they sent me their latest eyeshadow palette launches, I could not wait to try them out! The two new palettes – Hazelnut Haze and Rosette Ray – are the perfect colour combinations for autumn, and I’ve been using them non-stop for the past couple of weeks. Each PIXI Eye Effects palette is £22 for nine shades – 100% worth it as far as I am concerned because the quality is great and the shades are so wearable.

PIXI Hazelnut Haze eyeshadow palette

Hazelnut Haze palette

This is probably my favourite of the two palettes – I just love the sage green shade in the middle! This combination of browns, golds, bronzes and sage green is really easy to wear. The shades are quite sheer, nothing too pigmented, which means they are easy to build up and also blend together. I tend to wear a combination of Neutral (top right), Sage (middle), Bark (middle left) and Gold (top middle). Hazelnut Haze is a great autumnal palette for those of us who like a versatile, wearable eyeshadow palette.

Rosette Ray palette

The Rosette Ray palette is a combination of golds, browns, rose and cranberry shades. This palette is great for those of us who love a warmer tone in our eyeshadow shades. These colours, as with the other palette, are really wearable and easy to blend. They aren’t hyper pigmented, so are easy to build up or wear as a sheer wash of colour. I tend to use the browns and golds more from this palette, but will definitely get more use out of the deeper shades during the later autumn months.

For the price point, I definitely recommend picking up one of these two eyeshadow palettes. Since they arrived with me, I’ve found myself using them nine times out of ten to do my makeup. The shades are really wearable and are perfect for subtle makeup looks. You’ll get a lot of wear out of these palettes, and the shades are neutral enough to be used all year round.
