Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon review

Sound Sleep Cocoon

When it comes to skincare products, I am pretty sceptical of anything that claims to work miracles overnight. That said, there is always one exception to the rule. The Dermalogica Sound Sleep Cocoon is that exception for me.

What does it do?

Ok, so Dermalogica claim that their Sound Sleep Cocoon will regenerate your skin overnight. The gel-cream works overnight, and targets signs of skin fatigue, restores radiance and brightens skin tone. Some of the key ingredients include: Persian Silk Tree, Wu-Zhu-Y, Australian Kakadu Plum Extract, Vitamin C, Tamarind Seed Polysaccharide, French Lavender essential oil, Sandalwood and Patchouli.

Sound Sleep Cocoon gel-cream formula

I’ve been using this gel as part of my evening skincare routine for a few weeks now, and I have to say I am really impressed with it. The gel-cream formula feels really luxurious and is instantly soothing as you apply it to you skin. You get a waft of lavender as you work it into your skin, which is really relaxing and calming after a long day.

In the morning, I notice that my skin is visibly plumper and hydrated. Waking up in the morning with a fresh face is a really lovely experience. Especially during the colder months when the harsh weather can have such a negative impact on our skin!

I apply 1-2 pumps of this every evening after my moisturiser. It’s the last thing I put on my face before I settle in for sleep. The lavender scent definitely helps me to drift off.

Is it worth the price?

This gel-cream is a pricey one. It’s £72.50 for 50ml, which is a lot more than I would usually spend on skincare. That said, I really do think you are getting your money’s worth here. It’s a truly luxurious product, and my skin really does benefit when I use it regularly. If this is within your price point, I recommend giving it a go. Your skin will thank you!
